Why is methane removal important?
In Hungary, approximately 80% of strata and thermal water wells contain methane. When the water is extracted, methane is released into the air at normal atmospheric pressure. If this happens in a closed space, it is a particularly dangerous source, which not only carries an economic risk, but also a danger to life . The reason for this is that methane-air forms an explosive gas mixture at a mixing ratio of 4-15% , which explodes at the slightest spark. The development of this condition must be avoided, because the explosion protection of a building is much more expensive and more difficult to solve than the removal of methane from the water.
Relevant legislation
The aim of the legal environment (EU ATEX directive and KHVM Decree 18/1997 (VIII.29)) is that methane is removed from water to below 0.8 l/m3 methane content before the water enters the confined space . This reduces the risk of explosion in the confined space to zero.
Where is it important to use degassing devices?
Where water with a methane content above 0.8 l/m3 is extracted from the well and used in a confined space.
Most common areas of application:
Thermal baths
Thermal hotels
Drinking water treatment plants
Animal farms
Thermal greenhouses

We have heard the following sentence many times:
"We haven't had methane removal for 20 years, but there's been no problem!"
It is important to understand that the simultaneous mixing of methane and air and the formation of sparks is a matter of probability. Although the probability of occurrence is small, if it happens, an entire building or complex can explode, which can claim human lives. Unfortunately, this has already happened, so we recommend that you strive for safety! By eliminating methane, you will also comply with the legislation.
REGINJECT

Our company is the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of the Reginjekt degassing device, which is an extremely efficient and space-saving device. The device sucks in air – filtered on demand – and produces a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure with the help of an injector. Thus, the degassed water and the methane-air mixture leave the device separated. The device must be placed outside the building, as this is where the methane air is separated from the water!
Economical
Ha az ivóvíz kezelőben vas- és mangántalanítás, arzénmentesítés, szervesanyag eltávolítás szükséges, célszerű olyan gázmentesítési technológiát választani, mely vegyszerek nélkül, oxigén bevitelével működik.
Easy installation
It can be mounted on any free pipe end with a simple flange connection. The device must be installed in the pressure line, as it utilizes the pressure of the pump. The minimum required pressure is 0.4 bar.
Durable
Our product is usually manufactured from KO33 steel, which guarantees durability.
The advantage of the equipment is that it does not contain moving, wearing parts, so it does not require maintenance.

Economical
If iron and manganese removal, arsenic removal, and organic matter removal are required in drinking water treatment, it is advisable to choose a degassing technology that operates without chemicals and with the introduction of oxygen. This saves a significant amount of chemical costs.
